MoorVision provides support, activities and shared experiences for families of children and young people (aged 0-29) with vision impairment, including those with both vision impairment and additional needs, across Devon, Cornwall, Plymouth and Torbay. We also welcome families from Dorset and Somerset. Our activities include the child with vision impairment along with the whole family. We especially recognise the importance of including siblings in our work.
Vision impairment is one of the least common disabilities of childhood and it can be hard for these children and their families to meet others in the same position. Moorvision runs activities, residential trips, parent/carer training and other support sessions. We have a database of useful resources and a very busy Facebook page. We can provide advice on all aspects of your vision impaired child’s care or signpost you to relevant organisations for further help.
